People's perceptions of male and female characteristics are known as gender stereotypes. Men are portrayed as more agentic in gender stereotypes, such as competent, ambitious, assertive, and competitive. In comparison to members of the other sex, women are more communal, supporting, caring, warm, and emotional. The beauty ideal, which promotes the concept that the physical prototype is someone who is slender, white, and sexually appealing to the other sex, is one prominent gender stereotype that circulates in the media.
